At Littlegarth School, we understand the challenges and opportunities that come with preparing for 11+ exams. That’s why we’ve created Learn with Littlegarth – a dedicated tutoring programme designed for children in Years 4 and 5 who are aiming for grammar school entry with weekly lessons that continue right up until the exam in Year 6.
Our tutoring sessions provide the stretch and challenge that children need to help them grow in confidence and ability ahead of the exams.
We offer tailored Year 4 or Year 5 small group sessions of up to four children per tutor; individual sessions are also available.

As part of this exciting new initiative, Littlegarth is proud to offer one free tutoring place for a Year 5 pupil from September until December 2026.

Your first monthly payment is discounted to cover the free session
Each hour-long session for Year 4 covers Maths and English; Year 5 have dedicated one hour sessions per subject. Both year groups cover exam technique.
Families can choose between one-to-one support or small group sessions, depending on what suits their child best.
Sessions run all year round (50 weeks of the year). Additional holiday courses and mock exam sessions will also be available to book in the future.
As demand increases, further evening sessions will be added to give more families the chance to benefit from the programme.
(Each session will be dedicated to Year 4 or Year 5 (continuing up until the exam date in Year 6), depending on demand). Year 4 sessions will be 30 minutes of English and 30 minutes of Maths per sessions; Year 5 sessions will be one hour of either maths or English.
Individual sessions are available at additional times; further group sessions will become available depending on demand.
Tutoring runs 50 weeks of the year (there are two weeks holiday at Christmas)
Further Year 5 Easter holiday course week and Y4 and Y5 Summer holiday course weeks will be available soon
Mock Tests for Year 6 will be available to book for a specified date at the end of the summer
Small group session: £38.40 per child (1 hour, maximum of four children)
Individual session (1 hour): £73.20
The first session is free and is automatically deducted from the initial monthly direct debit payment.
After the first session, should you not wish your child to continue, the initial direct debit payment will be refunded.
One free Year 5 place available
Holiday weeks: £498 per week’s course, per child (details available in due course)
Year 6 Mock Test (specified date in August/early September): £64 per child
